Hospitals and medical care in Phimai

In Phimai town, there are two hospitals, a medical centre and some clinics.  The main government hospital in Phimai is called Phimai Hospital – Rong Payaban Phimai (โรงพยาบาล พิมาย). It is located in Phimai town. Telephone number: 044-471288.

In the terrible floods of 2010, Phimai Hospital (above) was badly flooded. However, it has since been renovated and now looks very nice from the outside.

In Phimai town there is also a small private hospital called Phimai Medical (below).

Phimai Medical is located on Anantachinda Road. Telephone number 044-471182.

There is also a small private clinic on Anantachinda Road not too far from Phimai Medical hospital. It is called Doctor Hiran Clinic (below). Telephone number: 044-287323.

Dr Hiran Clinic (above) seems to be very popular with local people as there is often a group of people waiting outside. I’m never sure if they are in a queue for treatment or if they are waiting for friends or relatives who are inside. This private clinic is open from 8am to 2pm from Monday to Friday and from 8am to 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

There is a small government public health centre ( ศูนย์ อนามัย ) in Phimai town.

The public health centre (above) is located behind the post office. Opening times are:

Monday to Friday 08.30 – 12.00 and 13.00 – 16.30.

It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

There are two other private clinics in Phimai town.

Phimai Gaanpet clinic is located on Hatairom Road. It is open on weekdays from 6pm to 8pm. On Saturdays it’s open from 8am to 12pm, then again from 6pm to 8pm. On Sundays it is only open in the morning from 8am to 12pm .

The Doctor Pirawan clinic is located on Ratchanonilela Road. The clinic is open from 5pm to 8pm on weekdays, from 8am to 12pm on Saturdays and on Sundays it is open from 8am to 12pm and from 5pm to 8pm. The telephone number is: 044-285458.
